Chief of Staff, Revenue

  • Los Angeles, CA
  • Full Time
  • Experienced

Come join us at Mixhalo! We are an augmented audio start-up co-founded by guitarist Mike Einziger, and violinist Ann-Marie Simpson, and run by serial entrepreneur and veteran product executive, John Vars. We build wireless solutions for real-time data delivery at live events. Starting first in the music industry, we have built a platform to allow concert-goers to stream live audio at studio quality, directly from the soundboard just as the musicians do on stage (as opposed to blasted over huge speakers into the open air). We have so far partnered with incredible acts like Sting, Metallica, Aerosmith, Pharell, and Charlie Puth, among others. We have leveraged the same technology to make multiple channels of real-time play-by-play commentary available through partnerships with the Buffalo Sabres, Sacramento Kings, the Los Angeles Football Club, and others.

We are now looking for a Revenue Chief of Staff to serve as a key partner to, and force multiplier for, the Chief Operating Officer. You will drive operational excellence and deliver repeatable business results.  The Chief of Staff assists the COO in determining and managing priorities, driving operational cadence, and representing the COO across many scenarios.  The ideal candidate must be passionate about high quality repeatable processes that produce short, mid and long-term results.  Must possess exceptional analytical, critical reasoning, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.  Success depends on building rapport and credibility with multiple stakeholders across and outside of the organization.

You’ll report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Mixhalo is remote-friendly, but we prefer candidates for this role to be in Los Angeles or Bay Area.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Help develop, and subsequently drive, strategic initiatives and/or discrete projects on behalf of our COO and the Revenue team. Take pride in being a force multiplier for the COO.
  • Provide the COO with insightful, data-driven strategic recommendations, accompanied by plans for implementation.
  • Coordinate quarterly planning process (OKRs - Objectives and Key Results) across the Revenue team, including quarterly off-sites.
  • Manage operational rhythm of the Revenue function: build meeting agendas, capture key insights and action items, and follow-up accordingly.
  • Design and lead effort to generate revenue case studies across multiple verticals and pricing models.
  • Representing the COO, partner closely with other functions including Product and Engineering, PR, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
  • Identify and attack ambiguous problems.

Experience/Skills

  • MBA strongly preferred; will consider those with a Bachelor’s degree only when supplemented with experience in a Chief of Staff role (or similar).
  • Minimum five years experience in corporate strategy, sales, consulting, strategic planning, partnerships, and or business operations. Experience in management consulting is a plus.
  • Skilled in strategic and financial analysis, marketing, pricing, and GTM strategy.
  • Prior experience in a high growth organization.
  • A true team player and collaborator – you will work with the business and technology teams to constantly sell & develop products that meet users’ needs; must be comfortable in the knowledge that no task is too small, or too big; an ownership mentality is essential.
  • Must be a resourceful, self-driven individual with a proven ability to partner, execute, and lead through influence.
